Well this week was eventful for Elder Makoni and I. It was our last one together, he is being transferred to be a DL in Novato. He’ll do a good job, I cant remember the name of my new companion coming in right now so i’ll let you know next week. I am staying here for the rest of my mission. So i’ll be here for the next two years roughly. Its going to be great! I found out brother Parker in the ward is going to the BYU Utah game next week so i’m going to send him with a suit case full of my stuff to make my flight easier. He’s the one who said he’d take me deep sea fishing so be really nice to him!
This week we went to Bodega Bay again for P-day, then taught David with Milton there. We left david with some scriptures to read about the doctrine of Christ. He texted us later that night and told us that he really enjoyed 3 Nephi 27:19-21.
We had District meeting the next morning where we practiced using our new Skype capabilities. I taught the restoration to someone who was at least 150 yards away! And I didn’t have to yell at all! God is good at what He does. These new tools would seem like magic to the people in the Bible. Now we know what Isaiah was talking about when he said the world would see eye to eye. I found a new investigator online this week, she is in Colorado. Her cousin is a missionary in Salt Lake and referred her to me. She told me that the bible was too confusing and gave up on church because of it. She told me she would read the intro to the book of Mormon and I’m going to Skype her tomorrow morning. So i’ll be teaching in Colorado tomorrow.
Wednesday I cant remember what we did. It must have been fun.
Thursday I went with Elder Kenny for most of the morning and helped him move apartment supplies. He is one of the senior missionaries who is in charge of our apartments. With our mission doubling in numbers we need to find a ton of new desks tables apartments and junk. Its been amazing all the miracles that happen around them every day. About a month ago they found a new apartment for the Bennett valley elders and then found that it didn’t have a fridge. They didn’t know what to do. Then for the first time in history a member in Petaluma called asking if the mission needed their extra fridge. MIRACLE. But anyway Thursday we ate dinner with President and Sister Alba, cause I was thinking. I’m in Santa Rosa I need to capitalize on this situation. So I called em up and asked em to feed us.
The next day we had weekly planning and transfer info.
Then Saturday we went to a baptism at the church for the Healdsburg ward. During the service there was a quinceanera (google it) going on in the gym. So when someone was saying “I testify that the priesthood is on the earth again…” there was music bumping from the gym. It was super hilarious cause it wasn’t my baptism haha. But our investigator david still liked it. He’s 17. He was trying to get us to come bowling with him but its packing P-day so we cant.
But sunday david came to chuch, we had a very spiritual lesson with a family we are teaching the Van Lares. The Parkers came and shared some powerful testimony. We then ate dinner with 10 other missionaries. It was eventful.
