Well because of the new email time limit i now have 30 minutes with nothing to do. So i will tell you of a lesson we had last night with a guy in our ward named Mike. He’s a cool guy, he’s on the top 15 so we go see him on sunday nights. We went over and asked him how he was doing with a particular commandment. He has been doing his best but still struggles with it. So I shared a scripture in Mosiah 2:41, which talks about the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. I share this one a lot, it is one of my favorites because it illustrates that if we do our part God will take care of every aspect of our lives. He understands this principle but explained that he feels discouraged when he makes mistakes. I then remembered a scripture verse in Moroni 6:8 a chapter i had read earlier that morning which explains that as often as men repent they will be forgiven. (i like this one a lot too, cause i need it) So he read this one and we talked about it. We then ended with the good and trustworthy verse in 1 Nephi 3:7. God will not ask us to do anything without helping us to do it. that would be lame. So we challenged him to keep God involved in his life and to have a prayerful attitude with everything he does as he tries to work through his challenges that are ahead of him. it was a powerful lesson. I know that the principles of obedience are true. God will take care of everything if we do our part. And even though we all have a hard time just doing the small things that we are required to do we can always work harder and do better. Repentance is real, and it is possible through the Atonement.
3/11/2013 – Part 2
And thats all i got. i tried to make it sound as much like an ensign article as i could. How was it? I got to read the march ensign this morning in studies. It was a good one. I really enjoyed the stories about the bus and the other one about the shepherd.
