Dear Family and Friends,
Dibbs on the new van!
So this week was a lot of fun. We did P-day stuff, i got a sweet rug burn on my knee diving after a ball in the carpeted gym in Benicia on P-day. We then ate dinner with the Egloffs (our ward mission leader) and played a game for the spiritual thought. We all wrote random stuff on cards and put it in a cup. Each missionary had to pull something out of the cup and relate the gospel to the topic. I got the color green. Other topics included, Halo double kills, motor oil, cheese cake, turtles, and other stuff. Its a fun game. On tuesday we had district meeting and i exchanged with Elder McCleary. Another missionary waiting for his austrailian visa. we had a good day and taught a lot of people. They send all the good missionaries foreign or to missouri. While walking up to a guy to contact him he asked us to stop and he whipped out his camera. He told us to smile so i held up my bom. He took our picture and told us it was just in case we were there to case the place. I laughed and then he told us he didn’t believe in God. I told him God wouldn’t like that answer the next time he sees him. That was the end of that encounter. We taught Mariah again. And Becca and George. George is doing so good! He told us he could read the whole book of mormon in a week and i was like, Ha whatever, prove it! So hopefully he proves it. (all week i was extremely sore from Bball on P-day) We had a fun scripture study class on wednesday. Elder McCleary and Stainback taught us all about Baptism. We had a few less actives and investigators there. It was a lot of fun. Thursday was the best. We talked to a guy who was higher then a kite and had his medical marijuana card slung around his neck. Then helped move the biggest piano on the face of the planet. It was me on one side and 3 elders on the other. It was a fun move.We had a slower friday, helped a few people move into new places in Vallejo. Then had a fun saturday. We had a move in the morning. Taught right after that. Ate lunch, then went to Benicia for a missionary blitz. We took a young man from the ward who is the only member in his family. He wants to go on a mission. He went tracting with us for 3 hours! he loved it. We talked to a lady and told her she had to be baptized by proper authority. She told us she was baptized by her pastor and i was like “He wasn’t authorized by God to do that” She took it well actually. It really helps to be clear with people. She promised to pray about the priesthood authority. We are sending the sisters over next weekend. On sunday i wore a purple tie to church to impress all the ward members. I got a lot of comments about it. And the last laugh. MUAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHH We set apointments with all our non-football fan friends and took the non-football fan members to the lessons with us. So it mostly felt like a normal day. Except while we were walking around i heard a lot of swearing. 🙂 I knew what that meant! So sunday was a lot of fun. We actually had a multi stake conference. L. Tom Parry spoke to all the stakes of northern california. (he knew the 9ers would lose and they would need the uplifting) so now today and am doing well.
