Family and Friends,
Well It has been a great week. we got transfer information and I am staying in Arcata for 6 more weeks with Elder Smith. Its going to be sweet! We have a lot of good things going on so i was worried that i’d leave. Elder Goynes did get transferred so our 4 man apartment was not left untouched.. He is going to Ukiah. He got the shoes mom and they fit perfect! they are much better then mine. But thats ok, i love my eccos.
We did not feel the earthquake, but the Eureka Elders did. They said it sounded like someone dropped a washer upstairs. But anyway, i have a new planner so i cant remember ANYTHING that happened last week. i’m sure we did missionary work or something crazy like that. I got to go to Mckinelyville for a day on exchanges with Elder Weber. Then we saw some people. and this giant box appeared on our doorstep. It was full of fun gifts and SUPER annoying confetti. but the gifts didn’t stay wrapped. My room mates wouldn’t have it. Its not my fault! But the gloves are sweet, the jersey is awesome! The tie is highly coveted, and i have not made the cake yet. but i will. As far as missionary work goes, we got brian to come to church two days ago. It was great! the whole ward welcomed him and he loved it! he made friends with our elders quorum president and is coming with us on thursday to eat dinner with him.
Well before i forget i read something cool yesterday morning, in mosiah the talk by king benjamin. chapter 4 verse 6-8. in 6 he sums up the whole gospel and how to endure to the end and in 7 he tells us that is how to gain salvation, and in 8 he tells us that Christ is the only way to be saved. I just thought it was amazing how simply he put it.
Anyway, we have a lot of good things going on, we have many people that i’m hopeful for. We have been trying to schedule appointments with our investigator brother mazzatti. He has been super busy, but he has also read the book of mormon all the way to the middle of jacob! We will see him on thursday.
