Dear Family and Friends,
I am just going to go through my week one day at a time, like my cousin always did. He’s a cool guy.
Monday: We did P-day things; we played indoor soccer with the zone, and ate a sweet dinner. We took a member with us to teach Debbi and Larry that night. He had prepared some presentation about the apostasy that he wanted to share with Larry. We allowed him to teach it, it was actually very interesting. It was very detailed and factual. I’m not sure how much of it Larry understood or believed but he seemed to take it really well.
Tuesday: W had district meeting, then we saw a less active member named brother Cue. He is a great guy; he has come up with a coffee that doesn’t have caffeine in it. So he wants to try to sell it to the church. He wants to set up a meeting with the bishop to sell it to the ward ha-ha. We told him it’d be great for him to meet with the bishop. We also had a cool experience. We knocked on this door to drop off a Book of Mormon. The lady said she didn’t want it in her home. So as we were walking away in the rain she yelled to us. We turned around and she had followed us half way down the street to say her husband still wanted it.
Wednesday: We did the usual stuff. We had a baptismal interview scheduled for our investigator Breanna. She was late so we called her. She had forgotten about it and needed a ride. So I called half the ward and after I finally got her a ride she rescheduled for the next day. It was a traumatizing event.
Thursday: Breanna was interviewed and is ready to be baptized! It was sweet, she is way excited. The other exciting thing, was for dinner a member of the ward took us to Red Robin. It was great! But, I drank soda……… I had a root beer float. It did not agree with my stomach. I am never doing that again! It was terrible.
Friday: It was raining all week by the way. I enjoyed it a lot. Riding and walking in the rain is the best! We had another lesson with Debbi and Larry again today as well. We took a couple over to meet them. They were converted a few years ago so they can relate to them really well. They hit it off, a little too well. They had a good time but we didn’t get to teach very much ha-ha they are good fellowshippers.
Saturday: Breanna got baptized!! Before that happened, we had to clean out the font. It’s been closed for a few years so it was gross….. but it’s all better now. It was a sweet service. Breanna was baptized by her grandfather and her sister who was baptized a few years ago gave the talk.
Sunday: We had church. Breanna’s entire family was there, they aren’t all active so it was sweet to see. We had Debbi and Larry come as well. It was one of the most spiritual testimony meetings I’ve ever been to. One mother just sent her son on a mission so she was up there, another gets her son home this month so she was up there too. Breanna’s sister Alyssa bore her testimony, and then Breanna did. It was awesome to see her up there sharing her testimony with the ward. Debbi was crying by the end, she told us she was feeling the spirit. It was a great Sunday. We then went to our Ward Mission leader’s house for dinner. His wife made us Cafe Rio! It’s the 4th time on my mission I’ve had that stuff ha-ha. I’ve had it more as a missionary than I did before my mission. We then went to another Baptism for a lady named Stassi. The Elders in the other ward have been teaching her for a while. It was great to see her finally take this step. It was a very good weekend. And now I’m emailing. Like normal. Nothing else to say. So bye!
