Dear Family and friends,
I just found out who the new Mission President will be. Brother and Sister Alba from Atlanta Georgia.
That’s all I know. I’m super sad to think that President Bunker will ever leave.
I forgot to bring my planner to the church with me for email. So I’m going to forget a lot of stuff. I promise this is the only place I forget to take my planner. I’m not a bad missionary. (Usually.) This week was a good one. We went searching last p-day and found out that none of the stores in Woodland carry a rugby ball. I was sorely saddened. On Wednesday I went on an exchange with Elder Vasconselos (he starts for BYU’s soccer team). He is a Spanish missionary from Brazil. He speaks very good English with an awesome accent. None, of his investigators speak English though. I had no idea what was going on. It was the longest day ever. I did tell a few people I was a gringo. And I learned that when you mispronounce a word on purpose it really annoys Spanish Elders.
We have been having the same run around with Larry. I love him, but he needs to realize that it’s the right thing for him to be baptized. He has missed church a few weeks in a row now because his mom has been having health problems. We still see them all the time though. Mark is doing well as well. He sent us a text the other day and the signature for the text was “Marcus Irelius” he’s the best!
Nothing too crazy happened this week, a member Brother Gatch showed us a testla coil he made from scratch. It works and everything, he held a light bulb next to it and the energy in the air lit it up.
On Wednesday this week we all get to go to Oakland to hear from L. Tom Perry at a 2 mission conference. We and the Oakland mission will be there. It’s gonna be sweet! Elder Bacon and Sister Thomas get to say the opening and closing prayer. They’re both in my district. Well I think that’s all I got. I’ll just leave you a scripture that I like. It starts at Alma 7:11. I’ve been thinking about this one recently. It’s helped me before. Jesus knows exactly what we go through whenever we have trials. So he knows exactly how to help us. I hope you all are having fun doing whatever it is you do. Keep reading, praying, and going to church. Cause, it’s good for ya.
Love, Elder Tubbs
