The mission is as sweet as ever. My district is a lot of fun. Elder Burt has been trying to perfect an Australian accent, and Elder Bacon and I put the ping pong table away so it wouldn’t become a distraction. It was getting close. This past week we had a cool experience. I tracked into this lady last week while on exchanges. She wasn’t interested at all, but we asked if she could use some service. She said yes so we told her we’d be back on Thursday to help her out. Thursday was the windiest day in the history of the universe. So we braved the wind and rode our bikes to her house. It took forever. But she let us work in her garden and trim her bushes! We talked to her the whole time; she’s a sweet old lady. By the time we left she asked us for a Book of Mormon! We are going back this week to help her out some more and see if she has any questions about what she read.
In regards to Mark, he is not going to be baptized this Saturday. But it’s for a good reason. He still isn’t sure if he believes in the Book of Mormon. So he committed to read and pray every day. He is also going to keep coming to church. He’s such a good guy. I love him.
Oh and the weather here is the same, every day. It never rains; the farmers here are in a lot of trouble right now. And the economy here is terrible.
So some fun stories I’ve forgotten write about:
One day last week we had dinner with a part member family. We walked in and the dad was giving someone a tattoo in his kitchen. About half an hour later he finished, cleaned up, and cooked dinner. It was way good too! He’s a professional tattoo artist. He runs his business out of his house.
Another cool story is this guy who used to be an investigator but is now homeless. We went by his house to help him clean so he could move out, and he was burning all this garbage in his backyard! I thought he was going to burn his house down. Ha-ha
So yeah, Woodland is full of interesting people. I love it here. Our neighbor Larry took us out to dinner. He’s a great guy. He also bought me a bike pump because I didn’t have my own. He’s the Packer fan I told you about earlier. He’s a boss.
I love you all! Please do interesting things and tell me about them. You can write letters too you know.
