I am staying in Woodland, Elder Bacon however is going to Crescent City. He is being banished to the forsaken lands up north. He will be up there with 3 other missionaries; they are an hour and a half away from the nearest Elders in our mission. Anyway, my new companion is Elder Young, who I know nothing about yet. I’ll get him tomorrow. This last week has been a lot of fun though. This week I learned how to contact people and bear my testimony in Spanish from one of the Spanish Elders in our district. Because Woodland is more than 60% Hispanic this has been a helpful tool. “Yo se que puede bendacir su vida”. We have still been working with Debbi and Larry, they have read all the way to Jacob 6! I’m proud of their progress. But I didn’t see them at church yesterday and we can’t get in touch with them. But the day is young, and we have an appointment with them to come to another family’s FHE later tonight. So I’m not too worried about them. Oh, so we had a couple at church yesterday too, Sabrina and Ernesto. They have been meeting with missionaries off and on for months but they came to church for the first time yesterday! It was sweet to see them there. We also saw Mark on Thursday, we didn’t get to teach him, but he came to church! So it was a week full of miracles. This week I also memorized the Articles of Faith for the first time ever. I suggest to all not to wait till you’re a missionary to do that. Hmmm… not much crazy happened this week. We are all getting super pumped to watch general conference. I’m way excited; it’ll be my first conference as a missionary. Oh, we also have been eating at this place called the Golden Dragon, Its cheap Chinese food. But it’s very good. And the fortunes come true! I have proof. If I’ve already emailed about this place I apologize. Anyway, I read this cool story about Zeezrom. He’s a smart guy, good with words, and he didn’t like Alma. (Alma 10:31) But as I continued reading I found this verse (Alma 15:12)! Good stuff right.
Sorry, I’m in a weird mood during email time.
I love you all, Elder Tubbs
