This week has been one of the best! We had the opportunity to teach a lot of lessons this week and to see a lot of people. And we went to the Sacramento Temple! Monday was a normal day, but we didn’t play sports. Tuesday we were on exchanges, I was with our district Leader Elder Matthews. And we saw a hit and run! We were contacting someone on the street when we heard this loud crash behind us. We looked and saw the car flip around and gun his engine to speed off the other way. No one was injured though so it wasn’t too bad. It was crazy, the guy we were talking to wasn’t surprised at all.
On Thursday we went to the Temple, we got a ride from Brother Harrison a member of our ward in his sweet Jaguar! It was fun to leave the mission and visit the temple, Sacramento isn’t as big as I thought it would be. Afterwards I went with one of the ward missionaries on splits, we taught a 17 year old named Freddy, he’s so cool. He flat out said he’d never be baptized and he thinks we were sent to test his faith. But he also said he’d read the Book of Mormon. We’ll see how he feels after he’s read.
Friday was normal we ate at this restaurant called the “Golden Dragon” it was soo good! I’ve decided I love Chinese food. I ate Mu Shu!! My fortune cookie said it was time to email or write someone far away. So here you go. Also on Friday we taught Debbi and Larry again. Debbi has been reading the ensign! She asked for a copy so we gave her an extra conference edition. They are doing so well, it’s been amazing to see how reading the Book of Mormon together has changed them and drawn them closer together. Oh and it was raining like mad today! My coat and shoes work great, but my gloves leave room for improvement. We tracted in the rain for about 3 hours. I enjoyed every minute of it! 🙂
Saturday it let up but Sunday it came again! It was so hard to get work done on Sunday. Every house we went to had the game on. I saw enough to know that the Raven’s receiver blew the game for them. And that the giants won in overtime with a field goal. It wasn’t very successful. Everyone who wasn’t watching the game didn’t speak English. I’m glad the 9ers lost. Now everyone will answer the door ha-ha. There are a ton of 9er fans out here though. Raider fans too. Oh and I got a text from Elder Silvester Saturday. Kasandra got baptized on the 21st! I’m so happy for her. I only wish I could’ve been there to see it.
I think that’s all I have for this week to report. It’s still raining and windy, I love it.
